Management Team
    The management team has significant startup and operations experience in software development, new product roll-out and broadband services. The team is highly cohesive, focused and capable group of individuals that responds well to the challenge of making Healthium successful.

Surendra Naidoo, President

    ASuren Naidoo has led the Telehealth team since 2001 developing a business case and prototype for a television based home telehealth product. Naidoo has won support from healthcare academics and providers and an NIH funded grant to continue the development and validation of Healthium product in trials. Naidoo also negotiated agreements with Cox, Time Warner and Comcast to provide cable modem Internet connectivity for patient trials.

    As SVP and co-founder of Security Broadband in 1999, Naidoo was instrumental in developing the vision and business plan for testing the cable industry's entry into the broadband powered security market. Naidoo played a leadership role in defining the service, architecture, operations, selection of technology partners and reinventing security as a life style consumer service with the SafeVillage concept. Naidoo initiated and developed key SafeVillage partnerships with March Networks, Monitoring Automation Systems (now part of GE Infrastructure Security) and Advantor Systems. Security Broadband has raised over $58 million.

    Naidoo previously served as the director of business development for Prime Cable where he spearheaded the development and launch of the Las Vegas News Channel and formed Prime Broadcasting Company. Naidoo also co-founded and served as CFO of Laguna Entertainment and Marketing. Naidoo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from the University of Texas Graduate School of Business. Naidoo holds several security and GIS patents.


Milo Simpson, Senior Software Developer

    Simpson is the head of the software development team. Simpson previously held positions with applianceOrder.com and Trilogy Software, Inc., and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Duke University.

Sandy Schlortt, Senior Product Manager

    Schlortt is responsible for Healthium's quality assurance and product management. At Security Broadband, Schlortt was responsible for the Safevillage software validation and new product rollout, Schlortt previously held positions with Concero and Accenture and holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering and a Masters of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri at Rolla.
