William Glasgow, President and CEO
William Glasgow cofounded Security Broadband in 1999. He brings vision,
leadership and nearly 20 years of experience in the telecommunications
industry to Security Broadband. As past president and CEO of Prime
Cable, Glasgow has been intimately involved in the operating,
structuring, financing, purchasing and sale of major cable television
properties serving over one million subscribers and valued in excess of
$4 billion. He also developed business relationships and closed
transactions with a variety of industry leaders including BellSouth,
SBC, TCI, Cox and Comcast. As a result of successfully facilitating
many major transactions, Glasgow shares long and extensive
relationships with key Wall Street firms, venture capital and
institutional investors.
In addition to key leadership roles at Prime
Cable, Glasgow has directed investments into a host of
telecommunications ventures including Nextlink Nevada, E-Spire, General
Communications, Inc., and Thrifty Call. He began his telecommunications
career almost two decades ago in 1983 as a financial analyst for Prime
Cable, receiving promotions to vice president in 1988, senior vice
president in 1991 and president in 1996.
Jerry Lindauer
As Chairman of Security Broadband Corp, Jerry Lindauer brings strong
leadership in strategic planning, government relations and corporate
development. A well-respected spokesman for the cable industry for
twenty-three years, Mr. Lindauer served as Chairman of the Board of the
National Cable Television Association (NCTA) from 1990-1991 and was a
member of that board for over two decades. He served on the Board of
Directors for C-SPAN and was a founding member of the Cable Alliance
for Education.
Mr. Lindauer was a Principal and Partner with
Prime Cable where he was instrumental in acquiring, operating and
divesting major cable TV properties representing a subscriber base of
over one million customers and valued in excess of $4 billion. Mr.
Lindauer began his career in telecommunications by joining
Communications Properties, Inc., in 1977. He became Senior Vice
President in charge of franchising and regulatory activity when the
company was purchased by Times Mirror in 1979. Mr. Lindauer was also
President of Times Mirror Security, later acquired by Westec.
During his twenty-year career as a Marine Corps
Officer, Mr. Lindauer was a military assistant in the office of the
Secretary of Defense. He also served as an Infantry Company Commander
in Vietnam and was awarded two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart among
other decorations. He continues his involvement in his community and
his commitment to education by serving on the Board of Trustees of
Bellarmine University and on the Board of the Longhorn Foundation at
the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a member of the Society
of Fellows at the Aspen Institute. Mr. Lindauer, a father of two, is a
graduate of Bellarmine University and the University of Texas School of
Law.
Jeffrey W. Brown
Jeffrey W. Brown is the Director of Strategy and Business Development
for Cox Communications. He previously served as Vice President and
General Counsel for TCA Cable TV prior to Cox's acquisition of TCA in
1999. In addition to serving on this board, he is an active director on
the boards of TV Gateway, LLC and Cox Classic Cable, Inc. He has been a
private practicing attorney specializing in business, corporate, and
mergers & acquisitions law prior to joining TCA. Brown graduated
Magna Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law. He is currently a
member of State Bar of Texas, CTAM, WICT.
Tom Buffett
Tom Buffett served as Chairman and CEO of Automated Security (Holdings)
PLC from 1974-1995. Under his leadership, ASH became the leading
electronic security company in Europe and one of the top three
worldwide with substantial U.S. operations. ASH was also the largest
operator of video and audio alarm verification worldwide. Buffett
became Co-Chairman of Sensormatic Corp. in 1992 and remains a member of
that Board. Buffett received an engineering degree from MIT and an MBA
from CEI in Geneva.
Wayne Davis
Wayne Davis is Senior Vice President of Engineering and Technical
Operations for Charter Communications, Inc. with responsibility for
company-wide network engineering and technology strategy related to
data, voice, and video, together with technical operations, real
estate, purchasing and the deployment of new technology. He has more
than 25 years' experience in cable engineering, technical operations,
and operations management. A Charter employee since December 2001, Mr.
Davis was previously Vice President of Management Services, serving as
assistant to Charter President and CEO Carl Vogel, a role he still
retains. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Engineering for the
company's Western Division serving over four million subscribers.
Before joining Charter, Mr. Davis held the
position of Vice President of Engineering for Comcast. Prior to that he
was Senior Vice President of Engineering for Jones Intercable where he
began his career in 1982.
Robert S. Pick
Robert S. Pick is senior vice president of corporate development for
Comcast Corporation, where he is responsible for all corporate
development merger and acquisition activities of the company. With the
addition of Pick to the board, Security Broadband will gain significant
strategic insight and industry relationships. Prior to joining Comcast,
Pick held various financial roles at Bell Atlantic Corporation and
KPMG, Peat Marwick. Pick is a CPA who received a Bachelor of Science
degree in accounting and finance from Drexel University.
Christopher J.
Shipman
Christopher J. Shipman brings an extensive network of financial and
industry contacts to Security Broadband through his position as a
general partner with Catalyst Investors, L.P., a NY based venture
capital fund. Prior to joining Catalyst, Shipman was a vice president
and director with Toronto Dominion Capital, where he was responsible
for investments on behalf of the bank in the media and telecom sectors
and served on numerous Boards of Directors. Prior to joining TD,
Shipman served as an economist at Banker’s Trust Company. He holds a BA
and MA from Boston University and an MBA from UCLA.
David M. Woodrow
David M. Woodrow provides extensive knowledge of the development of
broadband services delivered over cable TV infrastructure as a member
of Security Broadband's board of directors. Currently president and CEO
of Qwest Digital Media, Woodrow has a long tenure of cable industry
experience, having also served as an executive vice president of new
business development for Cox Communications, Inc. He has previously
served on the boards of Excite@Home, Teleport Communications Group, the
California Cable Television Association and the Cellular Telephone
Industry Association. Woodrow was instrumental in the founding of
Sprint PCS and worked on strategic planning and venture capital for
Exxon.
